The Genesee Creamers first discovered the ‘dead ants’ tradition during an international tour. A player from an opposing team shouted dead ants! and everyone on the team dropped to the ground with their arms and legs in the air to the bewilderment of the Creamers whom had never seen such a thing.
The boys fell in love with the apparently common European tradition and brought it home with them to boggle their opponents on the field here in the States.
